SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Management:
Management of multiple sub-contractors and/or direct hire crafts
Planned, inspected and supervised the installation of foundations with up to 1200 cubic yards of concrete in a single placement.
Provide support to operation staff
Review performance of contractors/direct hire crafts to ensure contractual obligations are being met and initiate corrective measures as required
Coordinate day to day activities with subcontractors/direct hire crafts in order to provide uninterrupted activities with other crafts
Plan inspect & schedule concrete pours in order to avoid delays in concrete delivery & pump trucks
Perform material take-off for consumable items, tools and support equipment
Work closely with management, engineering & construction disciplines in scheduling activities, quality & implementation
Maintain balanced work force in order to maintain profit line
Participate in scheduling meetings, planning of work scope
Revise methods and techniques as necessary to suit field conditions
Quality:
Maintain as-built files and marked up progress drawings
Provide technical assistance to field personnel
Ensure work is performed in accordance with the drawings and specifications
Determine and establish horizontal and vertical control points by directing surveyors to perform necessary work
Monitor technical quality of civil, architectural, structural, insulation, fireproofing, refractory, paint, mechanical and electrical
Aide in interpretation of plans and specifications for craftsman and supervisors as needed
Prepare and maintain documents as required to meet requirements, as expected by Quality plan
Safety:
Maintenance of a safe job site by safety meetings and daily safety audits
Administration of company policies, i.e. pre-employment interviews, safety, promotion evaluations and termination's
