treatment facilities for the above regions. I represented the OCWA on most of regulatory hearings and committees. I conducted workshop and seminar on OCW A and their mission throughout Ontario. Performed complete engineering analysis on existing and new plants including but not limited to design, procurement and construction with understanding of operating practice, cost implication, safety, and other technical aspects. The condition of the wastewater processes at the above regions was evaluated and the equipment life expectancies were identified. Project manager for complete engineering and design of a 250,000 tons/year Chlor-alkali manufacturing facility for the total of $MMUS 160.00. I also acted as counsel for the legal issue such as dealing with government agency on the issue of permits for the construction and discharge. I participated and directed in preparation of the engineering and construction estimate of the project during the early phase. Responsibilities included development of P&IDs and equipment specifications for new plant including brine treatment and ion exchange purification, glauber salt removal, cell design and third party vendor, chlorine and hydrogen recovery, chlorine drying and liquefaction hydrogen compression, and caustic evaporation. Project also included significant support facilities including product storage handling and chlorine and caustic, utilities including steam, cooling water and refrigeration. I managed and monitored the safety, schedule, cost, and contractor activities during the construction phase. I conducted and managed weekly meeting at the field with craft supervisors at the early stage of the construction and converted to daily meeting when construction was at peak. Lead process and project coordinator of the process design on several multimillion-dollar projects at Ciba-Geigy's McIntosh Plant. Projects included the following:
Chemicals -This project involved the hydrogenation of PNTSS to from PNTSA (para-Nitro Tolune Sulfonic Acid), a whitener agent for detergent, using high-pressure hydrogenation process. Prepared the engineering and construction schedule and coordinated the purchase of material and contractor activities. Participated in the directing construction activities. Conducted status meeting to the management and director of the construction. The project was finished one month ahead of schedule and under budget.
Engineering and construction coordination of highly confidential reactor-generated food product. Included emergency relief venting calculation and sizing of relief lines and rupture disks. Raw materials undergo Oxidation in the
reactor to produce required material. After oxidation, material is separated from main carrier stream allowing gas to be collected. Liquid stream is circulated to the reactor. Prepared and evaluated bids purchased and ensured timely delivery of the equipment. Coordinated the contractor activities and ensured safety of the project. Ensured timely arrival of the material to the site. Met with production director on the weekly and vice president of operation on the monthly basis and informed them on the status of the project. Took the area supervisory during the start-up of the unit.
Additives project including the Irganox, and antioxidant agent for plastics stabilizer. Acted as project coordinator to monitor the status of the project during the construction phase. Coordinated the contractors' activities with the plant personnel. Conducted safety meeting, training, and audit.
