As a contributing member of the Quantity Surveying Team I assessed Pre-bid meetings and evaluated walk throughs. I was also involved bidding and construction of LEED projects for City of Austin and AISD. Oversaw bidding, submittals and installation for the technical aspects of projects such as, access control, data, networking and communication.

Through meticulous observation of plans and specifications I generated RFIs, Change Proposals and Change Orders. I analyzed subcontractor proposals for Change Proposals to verify accuracy and to query abnormal costs before submitting to the Architect. Generated credits, in some cases substantial, to Owners through plan, specification and submittal review.

Designed or redesigned details for the Architect’s approval due to unforeseen circumstances or construction document omission to facilitate construction progress. Managed construction site meetings involving the Architect, Owner, Superintendent, generating agendas, meeting minutes and action paths. Moderated pre-construction meetings for various phases of the construction process for individual trades per specification.

Conducted regular site visits to inspect the Work, materials, scheduling and finally Punch List items. Coordinated the collection and collation of warranties and Close Out items keeping logs of materials and specified O&M manuals and specified texts.
