G.P.M. - Global Portfolio Management is the application to store the premium and claim information data in Data Warehouse and to report the performance metric of the portfolio across the world-wide business in country level - reporting\producing offices. OGIS (Overseas General Insurance System) the only consistent method of collecting transactional data across worldwide which is the source system for G.P.M. This system is used for financial reporting and analysis

Business requirement gathering from on Actuarial and underwriting team for enhancements

Analysis of the existing legacy ETL code by reverse engineering, understanding and to create new mapping rules

Used various transformations like Filter, Expression, Sequence Generator, Update Strategy, Joiner and Lookup to develop robust mappings in the Informatica as part of enhancements

Used SCD Type 1 and type 6 mappings to update slowly changing dimension and mini dimensions

Streamlined the team operation by creating required support documents so entire team can be cross trained

Optimized the DB back up strategy to save the DB processing time from 18 hours to 2 hours a day
