Yardi Systems Inc. 2008-2009

Atlanta, GA.

Technical Analyst/Developer

Yardi Systems Inc. is the world’s largest software provider of property management and financial software. I was chosen to specialize in their military division, both for the U.S. military and private partners managing military posts throughout the world.

As the only technical analyst on the military team my responsibility is to support the technical account managers that work directly with the private partners and the multiple branches of the U.S. armed forces.

My duties include advanced issues with the web based applications. This is an application written mostly in .net but also includes visual basic, asp and java. The database for these apps is SQL. I customize web pages when necessary. Most clients run SQL server 2005 and some 2000. I customize reports that are queried using SQL and created with crystal reports. I have a working experience with both sql and crystal reports.

I am experienced in writing functional specs if a custom programming change is needed. I have the responsibility of determining if a request or problem warrants a custom programming change. I also make the determination if a client’s request requires a fee to be charged. In most cases I also decide if a change is made for one client would be beneficial to other clients and whether or not it is offered to others and at what cost. I work from project plans at times and am the decision maker of time lines and feasibility of those deadlines.

I am capable in every aspect of a web based application including implementation, support, and business usage and making major changes. This includes knowledge of IIS, webconfig files, dll’s and server setup and policies.

I was responsible for determining the possibility and feasibility of converting their needs into reality through technology and deliver a product on time, under budget and to specifications.

A mobile technology project that systematically replaced every handheld unit that Coca-Cola drivers and salesmen carried throughout North America.
