I have around Ten years of Experience in IT industry including Four years into telecom domain for MELCO (Mitsubishi Electrical Corporation), JAPAN and five years into Pharma domain for GSK (Glaxo Smith Kline), UK and 6 months into Access Control Security Solutions and Video Management System domain for HTS (Honeywell Technology Solutions). I have worked extensively in Development and Maintenance of desktop based applications and PLCs using C++, VC++ (MFC), COM and SQL in the initial 5 years. Project Description

OCEANS is an application used to manage the safety aspects of company products for receipt, follow-up and tracking of cases, For expedited and periodic regulatory reporting worldwide, For signal generation and monitoring of product safety profiles, and For the provision of safety data to internal and external customers. The OCEANS system consists of a number of processes supporting the management of clinical, post marketing surveillance and spontaneous cases through their lifecycle. OCEANS is a fully bespoke application designed around an Oracle database whose functional procedures are written in PL/SQL. The user interface is an integrated collection of screens written in Visual Basic. Associated C routines are used to provide pre-formatted reports. The current project involved the introduction of a message queue to send and receives XML messages across the UK and Belgium servers and to display them as reports in the existing application.

DCS IT project scope consists of providing 2nd and 3rd line support on 78+ IT applications used by various business units within GSK R&D team. These applications are developed using Microsoft, Java and Oracle. It is deployed in UNIX and accessed from Windows. Multiple Technologies, Interfaces and n-tier architecture is used in the set of applications. The project has gone through knowledge transition and pilot stages before getting into steady state operation. The project team consists of nearly 50 people operating from UK, USA and India offices

oDevelopment of Oceans application modules in C# and MSMQ.

oTravelled to USA (United States of America) during March 2006, Visa Type R B1, for Project Initiation meetings at GlaxoSmithKline, USA

oProvided application support (Level3) for DCS IT project, which has wide range of business applications in the clinical domain using various technologies like C#, ASP.net, VB.net, ASP, VB, Oracle and UNIX/Windows environment. The tools used throughout the support are Toad, Lotus Notes, Document Management Tool (Documentum), Version Management tool (VSS), and Change Management tools like Remedy, CSI &Chameleon.

oWorked on the Impact analysis & estimation, issue investigation, resolution details, Scheduling, Coding, Documentation, Testing and Deployment for nearly 14 applications which are logged into Lotus Notes Database within the SLA timelines.

oResponsible for taking the due diligence of new applications, Business Communication, Onsite/Offshore co-ordination, preparing Transition Plan, Resource and Effort estimation, Training the resources at offshore. Future View is a global forecasting application developed for GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to support their Consensus Forecasting Process.
