Through ongoing inspections, visit various sites and report on the progress of activities. Keep the Resident Engineer(s) informed on field conditions and situations. Ensure that appropriate action is taken to resolve problems that may arise. Review proposed construction plans and specifications and provide constructive comments to eliminate conflicts and maximize constructability. Monitor testing activities and keep track of completion status. Areas of Assignment or Expertise E.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Building and Facility Construction. Ensure the compliance of outside Contractors working on MARTA Projects: Rapid rail tunnels, Bus facilities and the construction of water mains, sanitary sewers, water or wastewater Treatment Plant modifications and Pumping Stations, new and existing Marta Stations, Construction of Roads, Bridges and Other associate improvements, H.Q, Building, Job Order Contracts (J.O.C) & TOD’s. Quality Assurance: Serves the Authority and the riding public by ensure that establish policies and procedures are adhered to and quality standards area met. Monitor the installations of YACI TYPE ANTENNAS in ungrounded Stations tunnel and on top of system wide Building Roof for Cellular Phones usage (BellSouth and Verizon Wireless) on the north and south lines for the office of Transit Related Development. Monitor construction is performed to meet all applicable building codes, specifications, requirements, regulations, 10 and 30 hours OSHA Safety Courses etc.; and provide daily safety awareness and inspections to ensure the safety and well-being of all contractor’s personnel at the job sites and in order that safe conditions exist for the customers. Operate personal computer in the completion of Inspector’s Daily Reports and other applicable forms/charts (Microsoft Office, Word for Windows, Excel, e-mail and Internet access).
