PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

2001 - 2012: Rockwell Automation, Standard Drive Product Development

Senior Technical Analyst, Design – Mechanical

• Designed and developed power module parts and assemblies, from conceptualization through product release

• Created parametric 3D CAD models of parts, components and assemblies

• Utilized Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and Ergonomics in product development

• Created detail drawings of parts and assemblies utilizing GD&T and other standards, as well as informational drawings per customer-specific standards

• Maintained and updated part and BOM information in existing engineering data management system when drawings are changed or created

• Revised component and assembly CAD models and drawings as needed to achieve product improvements

• Participated in and assigned to multiple projects to meet evolving deadlines

• Designed and developed power module Control Compartment components and assemblies, from conceptualization through product release

• Designed and developed sheet metal parts, plastic parts, pc board outlines and interconnection schemes from conceptualization through product release

• Worked closely with Tooling department to develop and improve injection mold tooling to meet manufacturing and customer requirements

• Used 3D CAD models to create rapid prototype samples (SLA, SLS)

• Maintain and update part and BOM information in existing engineering data management system when drawings are changed or created.

• Coordinated efforts of mechanical design team to insure part and assembly objectives
