Job Summary: The Information Technology Officer II provides technical leadership and direct support to the Office of Commissioner Pangulayan in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of digital systems, information infrastructure, and communication tools.
The position ensures the seamless integration of IT solutions to enhance efficiency, policy research, data security, and stakeholder engagement within the Commissioner's Office.
Duties and Responsibilities: IT Systems Support and Maintenance Ensure the operational efficiency of computers, software, and other IT equipment within the Commissioner’s Office.
Manage file storage systems, backup, and retrieval of digital documents for the Commissioner and Office staff.
Digital Communication and Workflow Automation Implement and manage secure email systems, shared drives, and collaboration platforms (e.g., MS Teams, Google Workspace). Recommend and deploy digital tools to streamline workflows, document routing, and communication within the office and with external stakeholders.
Policy Research Support and Data Management Provide IT support for data analytics, visualization, and digitization of policy-related data, research, and reports.
Assist in compiling, organizing, and presenting data relevant to decision-making, program implementation, or oversight.
Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Apply information security protocols and data privacy safeguards, especially for confidential and sensitive documents handled by the Commissioner’s Office.
Monitor potential risks and ensure compliance with the Data Privacy Act and CSC security standards.
IT Advisory and Coordination Serve as liaison with the Commission’s central MISD (Management Information Systems Division) for technology upgrades, troubleshooting, and coordination of agency-wide digital initiatives.
Advise the Commissioner on IT-related concerns that may affect office productivity or public service delivery.
Support to Special Projects and Presentations Provide technical support for webinars, public engagements, and internal briefings involving the Commissioner.\ Design and prepare presentations, infographics, and multimedia materials as required.
Minimum Qualification Standards (Per CSC Rules): Education: Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job Experience: 3 years of relevant experience\ Training: 16 hours of relevant training Eligibility: Career Service (Professional) / Second Level Eligibility Preferred Competencies: Strong knowledge of IT support tools and systems administration Familiarity with cybersecurity and data privacy practices in government Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a policy-oriented environment Strong communication and coordination skills Familiarity with CSC rules, operations, and digital transformation initiatives
