Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deskside Support Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of all IT equipment and systems. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Doha, Qatar.

Job description:

Provide onsite support and resolution that cannot be resolved by service desk

Hardware, accessories replacement for the client end users

Provide support to the VIPs. Our client acknowledge that there would be VIP staffs in client

In case a device cannot be remediated and needs a part replacement, onsite resource to communicate the same with service desk, Store Manager and get the spare part.

Identify root causes of recurring issues and proactively implement solutions to prevent their recurrence.

Establish and manage a device refresh cycle to ensure consistent hardware updates, enhancing both performance and security.

Format and reimage devices with standardized configurations prior to deployment.

Perform hardware testing and upgrades as necessary to enhance the performance and reliability of IT equipment.

Assist in onboarding and deliver initial training on products or services to ensure user familiarity and reduce subsequent inquiries.

Replace outdated or faulty PCs while adhering to secure data disposal practices.

Establish a secure process for data wiping and proper disposal of devices at the end of their useful life to prevent data breaches.

Manage user accounts and enforce access restrictions in accordance with our client standards.

Develop and maintain standard templates for consistent and accurate communication across our client channels, including emails, the ticketing system, and the chatbot.

Should be able to work in shifts

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5 years of experience in a technical support role.

ITIL Foundation certified

Fluent in English and Arabic

Working knowledge on ITSM platform like SMAX/ Manage Engine

Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and patient demeanor

Capable of building positive relationships with users.

Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to remain calm and accommodating under pressure.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information to non-technical users.
