Role Description

ACTFORE is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support the HR team with onboarding, employee relations, payroll and benefits support, and administrative tasks. This position will report to our Director of HR & Operations and is essential for maintaining a positive work environment.

This is a full-time 100% onsite position with core hours Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:30pm. Candidates must be willing to provide support outside of regular hours as needed. We prefer local candidates within close proximity to our office in Reston, VA.

Key responsibilities:

Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, general guidance on HR policies and procedures

Support on/offboarding processes for employees

Help organize and maintain employee records in ATS or HR databases

Assist with scheduling HR related meetings, events, or coordinating interviews

Facilitate employee satisfaction surveys

Assist with payroll or benefits administration as needed

Miscellaneous administrative tasks to aid in the day-to-day operations

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar field

2+ years of experience in HR field, involving employee relations, records management, recruitment, and other HR initiatives

Familiarity with federal, state, and local labor laws

Experience working with HRIS databases such as BambooHR (strong preference)

Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop interpersonal relationships with employees

Adept to handling sensitive information with discretion

Can multitask and adapt to changes quickly
