We are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing test systems, analyzing system requirements, and integrating software frameworks.
Responsibilities
Analyze system, interface, and functional requirements to derive test stand requirements.
Create HIL software test frameworks using tools such as Veristand, DSpace, and IPG.
Integrate Simulink-based plant models into HIL software test frameworks.
Design test systems using National Instruments hardware, focusing on NI PXI and SLSC architecture.
Interface NI hardware to communicate and control devices like motors, actuators, sensors, and CAN communication.
Automate operations based on equipment manuals.
Work independently in a test lab environment, solving issues and managing time effectively.
Use test and measurement tools such as Oscilloscope, Function Generator, AC/DC power supply, and DMM.
Communicate professionally with management through oral and written communication.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Experience analyzing system requirements to derive test stand requirements.
Proficiency in creating HIL software test frameworks using Veristand.
Experience integrating Simulink-based plant models into software frameworks.
Designing test systems using National Instruments hardware such as NI PXI and SLSC.
Interfacing NI hardware with motors, actuators, sensors, and CAN communication.
Ability to automate operations using equipment manuals.
Experience in a test lab environment.
Knowledge of test and measurement tools like Oscilloscope, Function Generator, AC/DC power supply, and DMM.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with ETAS LabCar.
Real-Time test automation experience.
Evaluating and sourcing components for test systems, including power supplies and DAQ.
Experience with assembling test boxes/fixtures containing power supply, wiring harness, DAQ hardware, and connector panel interfaces.
Work Environment
This position is based in an office environment with the flexibility of a hybrid schedule. Onsite presence is required three days per week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
