Job Title: Senior Hardware Technician - Controls

Location: Columbus, OH

Salary: $64k$76k + full benefits and OT

Requirement: 3+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical assemblies, PLC and CMMs skills required (Allen Bradley, FARO preferred)

Position Overview

We are a growing robotics organization paving the way for AI driven hardware and manufacturing solutions. Due to continued growth we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Technician for our Controls division to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, deployment and troubleshooting of hardware systems used in control applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in our manufacturing processes and product output.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop hardware control systems for various applications.

Conduct thorough troubleshooting and diagnostics of electrical systems and PLCs.

Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for precision measurements and quality assurance.

Work collaboratively with engineering teams to implement hardware solutions and enhancements.

Perform cell calibrations and deployments of control systems in a manufacturing environment (using FARO/Polyworks, RoboDK programs).

Assist in mechanical assembly and automation processes to improve system efficiency.

Maintain documentation for hardware configurations, troubleshooting processes, and modifications.

Qualifications

Technical training, trade school or Associates degree preferred or related industry experience.

3+ years of experience in hardware control systems and troubleshooting, industrial automation shop experience

Strong knowledge of electrical systems and PLC programming (Allen Bradley).

Experience with CMM and precision measurement techniques.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes and mechanical assembly.

Nice to have skills: Experience with automation tools like Faro and RoboDK, and familiarity with Allen Bradley systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
