DBA Architect

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Database Architect with specialized expertise in PostgreSQL to enhance our database systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our PostgreSQL databases to support our advanced contingent workforce management systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring high performance, availability, and security of our database environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Design: Develop and implement database solutions for PostgreSQL, optimizing performance, scalability, and reliability.

Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements to ensure efficient data processing.

and Compliance: Ensure database security measures are in place, including access controls and encryption, to protect sensitive information and comply with relevant regulations.

and Disaster Recovery: Design and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies for PostgreSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.

and Support: Work closely with development teams to integrate databases into business applications, providing expertise and support for database-related issues.

Practices and Innovation: Stay informed on the latest trends and technologies in database management, adopting best practices and exploring innovative solutions to enhance our database infrastructure.

Qualifications:

or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

experience (10+ years) with PostgreSQL database architecture, design, and management.

in SQL and experience with PL/pgSQL.

of database replication, backup, and recovery techniques specific to PostgreSQL.

with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their database services is a plus.
