QA Automation Engineer

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer with expertise in manual testing for mobile platforms to join our dynamic team. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will lead the mobile testing efforts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and user-friendly mobile applications.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Appium and WebDriverIO for mobile and web applications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into automated test cases

Execute and analyze automated test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues

Participate in the design and implementation of test automation frameworks to improve efficiency and scalability

Contribute to the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to automate testing processes

Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on automation best practices

Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

4-5 years of experience in QA automation with a focus on Appium, WebDriverIO, and JavaScript

Strong proficiency in writing and maintaining automated test scripts using Appium and WebDriverIO

Experience with test automation frameworks

Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and Agile/Scrum methodologies

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Protractor

Knowledge of mobile testing frameworks such as XCUITest or Espresso

Experience with cloud-based testing platforms such as Sauce Labs or BrowserStack
