Automation & Controls Engineer Outside Columbus, Ohio We’re seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to lead and execute plant-level automation projects supporting investment initiatives, performance improvements, and smart factory strategy.

What You’ll DoPlan and implement automation projects from concept through startupDrive equipment specifications, eCR approvals, and capital improvementsProgram and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)Perform gap analysis on legacy equipment and lead modernization effortsManage project timelines, budgets, RFQs, and contractorsSupport equipment design (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD)Ensure compliance with plant and production standards What You BringBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field2+ years of automation experience in manufacturingPLC programming & troubleshooting experienceProject management/capital improvement experienceAbility to lead cross-functional project teams If you’re hands-on, results-driven, and ready to lead automation initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment, we’d love to connect.
