Automation & Controls Engineer

Outside Columbus, Ohio

We’re seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to lead and execute plant-level automation projects supporting investment initiatives, performance improvements, and smart factory strategy.

What You’ll Do

Plan and implement automation projects from concept through startup

Drive equipment specifications, eCR approvals, and capital improvements

Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)

Perform gap analysis on legacy equipment and lead modernization efforts

Manage project timelines, budgets, RFQs, and contractors

Support equipment design (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD)

Ensure compliance with plant and production standards

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field

2+ years of automation experience in manufacturing

PLC programming & troubleshooting experience

Project management/capital improvement experience

Ability to lead cross-functional project teams
