Salary: $18 - $19 per hour, depending on experience

Position: Materials Receiving and Inventory Warehouse Associate

Job Overview: As the Materials Receiving and Inventory Warehouse Associate, you will play a critical role in the smooth operation of our Golf Cart Assembly Plant. Your responsibilities will include receiving materials, tracking inventory, and ensuring that materials are readily available for the production process. Reports to Materials Planning Engineer – Golf Cart Assembly

Key Responsibilities:

Material Receiving:

Receive deliveries of materials, parts, and components from suppliers.

Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quantity, and quality.

Document received materials and update inventory records accordingly.

Work closely with the Materials Planning team to resolve discrepancies or issues with deliveries.

Inventory Management:

Organize and maintain inventory in an efficient and organized manner.

Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.

Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed to prevent shortages.

Implement first-in, first-out (FIFO) and other inventory management techniques.

Material Handling:

Safely handle and transport materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.

Ensure proper storage and labeling of materials to prevent damage or loss.

Rotate inventory as needed to maintain product quality.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of material receipts, movements, and usage.

Generate reports and documentation related to inventory levels and transactions.

Assist with the preparation of reports for management and audits.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Comply with regulatory requirements related to material handling and storage.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with other departments, including Materials Planning, Production, and Quality Control, to ensure the availability of materials for production needs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in materials management or a related field is a plus.

Previous experience in materials receiving, inventory management, or warehouse operations is preferred.

Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory management software.

Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
