JOB PROFILE: DevOps Engineer

JOB LOCATION: Carrollton, TX

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implement strategies for zero-downtime deployments to achieve optimal application reliability and availability.

Develop and configure DevOps solutions on Azure platform utilizing native Azure services.

Implement Infrastructure-as-Code for Azure platform

Application containerization with Kubernetes (AKS)

Integration of various test automation frameworks and tools in the CI/CD pipelines

Contributing to technical decisions and direction in a collaborative team environment, including architecture, estimation, product planning, user story/requirement creation

Performing system changes, including upgrades, on internal and customer-facing systems at an agreed Request for Change window.

Practical experience with the implementation of automation practices in virtualized environments, including building templates and enhancements

Research and improvise current implementations of DevOps platforms for continual improvement

Apply industry best practices and patterns across infrastructure and application components, e.g., security, elasticity, and performance.

Design, enhance, build, and maintain automated deployment (CI/CD) for .Net and Java applications

Introduce/suggest new processes and techniques.

Work within a project management/agile delivery methodology in a leading role as part of a wider team.

Maintain, test, and optimize disaster recovery services to ensure we have a contingency plan to failover our highly available platform

Work closely with team members to identify and automate manual and repetitive processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and scalability.

Develop scripts (Shell scripts and PowerShell) to automate visualization.

Participate in an on-call rotation.

Handle the operations of the internal systems supporting the R&D department: maintaining systems and keeping them up to date

Ensure security compliance and best practices are met within all systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Should have a minimum 3 years of experience in CI/CD and DevOps environments,

Experience in automated Build Systems (e.g., Jenkins, Maven, MSBuild, Azure DevOps).

“Everything as code”: infrastructure (e.g., Packer, Vagrant, Terraform) and configuration management (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible) – scripting is second nature.

You have a working knowledge of tools like Git, GitHub, JSON, and a scripting language, e.g., bash and PowerShell.

Experience in network, server, and application-status monitoring.

Knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS) and DevOps tools like TeamCity, TFS, Azure DevOps, Git, SVN, Veracode, and SonarQube.

Extensive experience in container ecosystems (e.g., Docker, LXC, Kubernetes)

Knowledge of monitoring systems (e.g., ELK, Prometheus, Kibana)

High level of proficiency in Linux distributions, specifically Debian and CentOS

Practical experience in Windows Server with IIS

Practical experience in Linux distributions utilizing Apache and Nginx.

Azure DevOps CI/CD for .Net and Java applications.

Strong motivation/curiosity to learn new things and discover new technologies,

Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Azure/AWS DevOps Certifications.

Hands-on experience in Azure DevOps Administration

Must be a team player, self-motivated, and able to work independently and proactively and not seek.

Should be creative and able to think outside the box while defining a sound and practical solution.

Should strive to take the initiative, moving ideas forward with clarity.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Any Graduate with a B. E / B. Tech, MCA, or equivalent degree with more than three (3) years of relevant work experience.
