Roles & Responsibilities

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

Assist customer running prebuilt migration tools that translate mainframe SASprograms to run on the grid and copy data to the grid.

Test migrated programs and report test results to the Mainframe MigrationSupport Team

Assist customer with programs remediation as necessary to clear program execution errors

Copy data from the IBM mainframe to the new infrastructure at predesignated locations

Overall Responsibilities

Copy programs and data from the IBM mainframe to the SAS grid.

Support migrating customers as needed so their mainframe workflows are successful on the grid.

Assist migrating customers with automating their jobs that were previously automated on the mainframe.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills:

Degree or equivalent experience: (3+ years IBM mainframe SAS programming. 5+ years SAS programming using Enterprise Guide or SAS Studio in a UNIX server environment.

Key skills:

Strong SAS programmer with SQL, Windows/Linux/Unix, Mainframe(preferred)

Certification or license required:

No, but must pass a written test that the manager will provide

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with formal regression testing of programs

Experience with platform migrations (any two platforms, but ideally would be from IBM mainframe to UNIX/Linux).
