Scrum Master - RT

Reston, Virginia

As Scrum Master / Agile Lead, you will manage Agile-focused engineering development of technology and products. You’ll be working closely with the Product Manager and Engineer Lead, facilitating the Sprint process from beginning to end, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of product requirements.

In addition, you’ll drive the team’s education in best practices of Agile development through a variety of methods meant to provide positive impact across the team. You should have a strong Project Management and/or Scrum Master background and want to be an active member of the team, not just someone who enforces Agile methodology.

A background in working with online products and Software as a Service (SaaS) is strongly preferred, and the ability to handle the challenges faced by startups is key. Along with the Product and Engineering leads, you’ll be part of the 3-person leadership team who will bring cutting edge and sometimes complex products to market, then identifying ways to evolve these products over time. You’ll work closely with your leadership colleagues to ensure roadmaps are built using reality as the driving force, not smoke and mirrors or unjustified optimism.

We are hiring for these three positions:

Scrum Master / Agile Lead for OS which will become the primary interface for all our products.

Scrum Master / Agile Lead for Data Management technology. The Data Management team is not only creating technology to manage Data, we’re working to figure out all the signals the Data is providing. Product evolution could include providing technology to allow customers to manage their own data, as well as creating data sets that could sell as highly scrubbed data solutions.

Scrum Master / Agile Lead for Data Models & Orchestration. The Data Models & Orchestration team is responsible for a host of very complex technical products, such as: a time series database, a graph database, Spark services, various transformer services and more.

Work with Product and Engineering to ensure the right level of understanding and the right culture/process exists to take high level concepts and feature ideas and help break them down into stories and sub-tasks

Track and report status of all projects you own during our weekly updates. In identifying areas where any risk may exist, proactively build, communicate and lead recovery actions

Participate in “scrum-of-scrum” meetings and assist in ongoing coordination of corporate wide roadmaps to ensure alignment between teams across the organization

Manage the delivery of software enhancements and fixes per release schedules using Agile development methodologies

Help to shape and improve the product roadmap by consolidating and communicating feedback captured during the execution and retrospective analysis of sprints and strategy meetings

Work with Product and Sales team to understand customer engagement needs and ensure product readiness is in alignment with roadmap commitments and the teams ability to deliver

Work with Software Development leadership and teams to ensure technical requirements for engagement can be met on schedule; if necessary, identify and plan for any customer specific engineering requirements with Product
