This is a direct-client opening for a Help Desk consultant in Waimanalo, HI. This is a temp position. Client is looking for someone 2 days a week. Must be US Citizen

Duties: Help Desk - Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

Perform troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.

Work with vendors (e.g., Dell, Level3, EMC, Cisco) to troubleshoot software/hardware.

Review log files relating to the security of IT assets.

Install Windows 10 laptops and desktops.

Record events and problems and their resolution in logs.

Research technology as directed by CISO.

Perform vulnerability scans/analyses.

Maintain inventory record keeping.

Perform software updates/patches.

Write/update IT-related procedures.

Train users on new hardware and software.

Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.

Requirements (e.g. years of experience, software proficiency, specific technical skills, degree, and personality fit):

At least 1 year experience working in an IT support position.

Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, along with patience, a customer-friendly attitude.

Proficiency with Windows desktop systems (Windows 7-10) in a domain-controlled environment.

Experience with Linux desktops a plus.

Proficiency in English.


Prefer someone with DoD experience

Prefer someone with A+ and Security+ certifications
