Our growing client is seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead operations at our Midwest facility—a dynamic, 24/7 unionized plant producing food and beverages. We have a strong commitment to quality and safety; this is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader to make a significant impact. We need you to use your excellent organizational and communication skills to hold teams accountable to deliver results. You must have food & beverage manufacturing experience. What You’ll Do as the Plant Operations Manager:
• Oversee all plant production activities and ensure KPI tracking and attainment
• Lead a team of direct reports in Production & Sanitation staff
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and participate in capital projects
• Manage recruiting, hiring, and training of production team members
• Conduct plant audits and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Handle performance management, union activities, and operational analysis
• Provide oversight on budgets and contribute to strategic planning.
What We’re Looking for in a Plant Operations Manager:
• High school diploma required
• At least 8 years in food or beverage manufacturing
• At least 5 years in management
• Experience with aseptic processing preferred
• Experience with union relations preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.
• Proven ability to hold teams accountable and deliver results.
