Part-Time Dance Instructor - Grades K-5th

Monday-Friday 2:15-5:30pm

Seeking a Dance Instructor who can plan and lead age-appropriate dance lessons that introduce students to various dance styles (e.g., hip-hop, jazz, ballet, cultural/folk dance, or creative movement). The ideal candidate brings energy, patience, and a love for working with children while fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment.

Below are the responsibilities & expectations:

-Draw up, plan & implement engaging lesson plans with clear learning objectives pertaining to Dance

-Plan and facilitate fun, engaging dance lessons for elementary-aged students (K-5th)

-Incorporate warm-ups, technique, choreography, and creative expression; teach basic skills of stage presence & movement

-Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all students can express themselves

-Develop and direct showcases as part of the program curriculum when we see fit

-Manage classroom behavior and ensure student engagement and participation

Collaborate with program staff to align theater activities with program goals

-Uphold the programs standards & protocols
