FPGA Design Engineer Canonsburg, PA 15317 We are seeking an innovative FPGA Design Engineer to join our hardware engineering team. In this role, you will design, program, and optimize FPGA components within complex electronic systems that integrate multiple processors and hardware platforms. The ideal candidate has strong experience with FPGA architecture, board-level design, and embedded systems, and is comfortable developing high-performance signal processing and algorithm implementations. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to develop cutting-edge hardware solutions and troubleshoot complex system-level challenges. Key Responsibilities • Design, simulate, and implement FPGA components within complex electronic systems • Develop and integrate custom algorithms for FPGA platforms • Create DSP applications including FFTs, filtering, and signal conditioning • Verify and validate FPGA designs before and after system integration • Troubleshoot circuit-level and system-level hardware issues • Design and integrate electronic circuits at the board level • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on new technology development Required Qualifications • 7+ years of FPGA design and development experience • Strong programming experience with VHDL and Verilog • Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) and algorithm implementation • Experience designing FPGA memory architectures including BRAM, FIFOs, and external memory interfaces • Ability to optimize designs for timing closure, throughput, latency, and FPGA resource utilization • Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design • Experience with embedded Linux systems Technical Skills • Networking protocols: TCP/IP, Ethernet, network stacks • Hardware interfaces: USB, I2C, SPI • Lab equipment: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers • Hardware lab work: soldering, rework, building test adapters/jigs • Radio Frequency (RF) technology experience • Programming experience with C/C++, MATLAB, or Python
