Senior Construction Project Engineer

My national client in commercial real estate is seeking a strong individual in multiple markets to play an integral part in their growth.\n \n In this role the Senior Construction Project Engineer will work directly with top executives of industry and provide critical project management services.

This role brings a healthy mix of individual responsibilities in a very supportive, team environment.\n \n Essential Responsibilities\n\n Support project managers in managing proposals, drafting meeting minutes, contract creation, and client reporting documents.\n Support project managers in creating and updating project budget and schedules.\n Manage document control, change order, monthly invoicing, tenant improvement allowance reimbursement and project close-out processes in conjunction with project managers.\n Day-to-day involvement in multiple ongoing complex construction projects.\n Interface with project managers, clients and brokers on new project requirements.\n\n \n Desired Skills and Experience\n\n Applicants should be highly proficient in Blue Beam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Project.\n Applicants should possess a strong tendency towards leadership and an understanding of the design, permitting, bidding, construction and closeout process.\n Experience with invoice processing, schedule and budget creation and updates, and meeting minutes is required\n Must be a self-starter and possess a strong ability to handle multiple tasks at once and meet deadlines.\n Must be able to manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities.\n Experience with tenant improvement projects is required.\n\n \n Qualifications\n\n Must be a local candidate to market - Boston/Columbus OH, or Orange County CA area.\n This position involves a combination of in-office and onsite work.\n The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably as a Project Engineer or Sr.

Project Engineer.\n Bachelor's degree from a four-year college required, preferably in a related field.\n Excellent written and verbal communication skills polished and a proud representative of the client brand.\n Regular travel is required to support client projects.
