Goals
I am seeking a position as a controls engineer or technical specialist in a growing, environmentally conscious company that will utilize my current skills in the development or support of automation PLC controls and networking. Optionally, I wish to be involved in internal training programs on automation controls and networking. At the same time, I hope to gain further experience in market research and market segmentation.
Accomplishments
Effectively developed a 16 week custom training program in 2004 and trained a major user’s entire maintenance work force on Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and DeviceNet for a user’s 2004 switchovers to new control systems

Contracted to Allen-Bradley Rockwell Automation, Chicago, providing opportunity to continue to instruct on Allen-Bradley controls, using experience as a controls application engineer. Instructed custom skill based training classes for customers on controls programming and maintenance, networking, assisting customers in development of their internal programs on controls and networking, provided consultation to customers’ applications.
Responded to all additional customer project needs with technical assistance for proposal development and consultative selling efforts often collaborating with user and OEM customers.

As District Training Supervisor, managed five additional instructors, commercially grew the business to $1.7M and managed costs and was involved in the developmental of skill based training courses, worked with distribution network in the development of selling of private classes, providing a needed conduit between sales and training business. Utilizing controls engineering background, taught customer courses on PLC programming and maintenance.

As a District Area Manager for programmable controllers, networks and supervisory controllers, acted as a conduit from marketing to local office and distribution network for the technical assistance in sales and development of marketing programs.
