FOR CAPP TO INTEGRATE CAD, CAM AND CAPP

Objective Feature Recognition using STEP file of CAD model.

Simulating generated code on MTAB simulator.

Machining component on MTAB milling machine.

Conclusion The flow of product model data from CAD to CAM through CAPP is seamless.

A hint based method is used to identify the features on the part model, which is easy & gives very accurate results compare to graph based method.

With the feature information from the CAPP, automatically CNC code for the part is generated.

Software’s used CAD (SOLID EDGE).
