Description:
Transunion was founded in 1968 and has been an independent company since 2005. As a credit bureau, or credit reporting agency, Transunion gathers information reported from different sources on individual consumers. Information that Transunion and other credit bureaus gather primarily includes payment history, credit history, and borrowing history and habits. Consumer lenders, such as banks, credit unions, and credit card companies use this information to help compare credit worthiness and credit risk and determine availability of consumer loans to individual applicants.

TransUnion is a global company whose main business is consumer credit reporting. Part of a group commonly referred to as “the big three” in the consumer credit industry, with the other two leaders being Equifax and Experian, TransUnion is the third largest consumer credit reporting company in the United States. Though they provide services other than consumer credit reporting, this is the business aspect for which they are best recognized. Description:
For each characteristic a mean and median should be calculated for every zip, zip plus two, and zip plus four code(s) on the file following the minimum number of subjects rule detailed below. A separate zip code file should be created that lists all zip plus four, zip plus two and zip codes with the number of consumers and households in the zip code Number of consumers d number of households value should be calculated for every zip, zip plus two, and zip plus four code(s) on the file. At least eight households and eight individual consumers must be included in each zip, zip plus two and zip plus four zip code(s) to be included in creation of the summarized credit file.
If a zip plus four does not meet the minimum subjects rule then we should calculate the mean and median at the zip plus two level (XXXX-XX). All subjects in the zip plus two codes should be included in the calculation.
If a zip plus two does not meet the minimum number of subjects rule, we should calculate the mean and media at the standard five digit zip level (XXXXX). All subjects in the five digit zip code should be included in the calculation.If a five digit zip code does not meet the minimum requirements then no calculation should take place for that zip code.
