Major Contributions:
• Led reengineering and migration of Online Banking Suite (52 large web applications) from a proprietary ORB-based platform to IBM WebSphere, SOA-based solution; significantly improved operational characteristics of the system, including increasing volumes 4-fold over 2 years to over 100MM transactions a day, with over 4M unique users logging into the system a day.
• Architected, and led design and development of Internet-based Deposit Accounts Origination system – a fully integrated solution with instant decisioning that has reduced the overall time for opening a deposit account by over 400%; based on J2EE and Web Services and included a large-scale DB2-based XML-driven database for handling information from the account origination workflow processes (e.g., Customer information, Credit Bureau data, etc.).
• Led design, development and implementation of enterprise-wide shared data integration layer using JMS for supporting multiple database-oriented high-volume transaction systems on DB2, Oracle, and IMS.
• Developed a cross-channel architecture roadmap to leverage WebSphere Portal Server across Call Center, ATM, and target web channels, e.g., Private Banking and International Consumer Banking (Chinese, Spanish, etc.).
