CAREER OVERVIEW
Over 25 years as a professional photojournalist, including 14 years with CNN, covering national and international news stories: presidential campaigns, natural disasters, breaking news. Major entertainment and sporting event coverage includes red carpet arrivals for the Oscars and Emmys, Super Bowls, NBA championships and All Star Games. Wide range of skill sets including shooting and editing video, producing news stories, writing for television and on-line, and shooting and editing still photos for on-line distribution. Extensive experience shooting on location for long-form documentaries. Constantly studying latest technology, upgrading skills from Beta to DVCAM to XDCAM disc, and progressing from editing analog tape to non-linear editing on Final Cut Pro. Clients include Fox News Channel, KTLA-TV, CCTV (China), Al Jazeera English, Feature Story News, Riot Games, Big Screen Network/Pasadena Tournament of Roses. Shoot and edit video for daily newscasts using Sony XDCAM, Sony SxS, Panasonic P2, DVCAM and DSLR cameras. Light for single camera and multi-camera interviews, for both live and taped interviews. Edit reporter packages in field using Final Cut Pro on very short deadline. Compress and feed packages over FTP to various clients. Shoot still photos and edit with Photoshop. National travel for stories. Operate microwave truck.
