2. Siemens Information System Limited, Bangalore (Jul 2006 – Jun 2007)

Systems Engineer.

Worked on SpeedTrial, a web based clinical trial product used to study new drugs against subjects (patients). Java, Struts, JSP, Ajax, JMS and EJBs were used in the development.

Responsibilities

• Customized Export of clinical data (in XML and excel format).

• Implementing Thesaurus Management System, which is the integration of medical dictionaries like MEDDRA, WHODDE with the product. New Data being entered through the UI can be made to associate with the existing data in the dictionary or a new entry be added.

• Implementing other major features like Closing Visit , attaching CRFs (Case Report Forms – forms which contain questions grouped under various sections, to capture the result of the drug study)

3. Informatica Business Solutions, Bangalore. (Nov 2005 – Jul 2006)

Software Trainee Engineer.

Worked on the next generation of PowerCenter Engine, which will be productized in the near future.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of a data replication tool using Java which allows to extract data from various data sources (Siebel, Relational databases (JDBC), file, Zip file, socket, Java Mail, JCA) and loaded into these data sources. It also converts data from one source to another(Oracle => SQL Server, Oracle => Flat file, Flat file => Mail) This new architecture provides for J2EE type container which reduces the development time from 3 weeks to approximately 2 days.

• Implementing a simple data replication tool to test the above API.

• Automating test cases and running them against builds for the existing PowerCenter

Few Academic Projects

1. Linux Works:

This project dealt with the implementation of some of the system calls of vxWorks, a real time operating system in Linux so that the applications those are written in vxWorks can be run on Linux with less, low level modifications. This project was part of undergraduate course.

Location: Wipro Technologies Ltd, Electronics city, Bangalore.

• Design and development of library related to Tasks which includes setting a task’s priority, options and other related things.

• Testing of the entire task library which involves both unit and integration testing.

2. Unidirectional Wireless Network Simulation

This project deals with the simulation of wireless network on Unix platform using Java.

A protocol called Hello protocol is implemented using a routing protocol similar to distance vector protocol. Implemented as part of the Graduate Course requirement.

3. Computer Accessories Management System

This project dealt with the complete database design (from ER design to 3NF Normalization) and implementation of the Computer Accessories Management System. The front end was implemented using JSPs and servlets. Implemented as part of the Graduate Course requirement.
