Vice President of Construction and Procurement of Fixtures 2006 to 2011
Direct construction of new and existing stores, as well as purchasing of all store fixtures, energy equipment and energy management. Supervise a Director of Construction, Director of Construction Finance and Administration with a staff of 6 Project Managers. Established Standard Operating Procedures for Project Managers and department staff. Responsible for due diligence, drawings review, permitting and bidding, issuing contracts, RFI, monitoring cost and project closeout. Maintain a book of 12 highly reliable, proven General Contractors while opening bids to other referred companies. Devised a progress flow chart to track multiple projects.
Develop and monitor a $70 million annual budget.
Apply a complete lifecycle methodology to store construction, including front-end due diligence (formerly part of Store Planning), negotiating construction issues, and ultimately ending with a fully-merchandised store opening on schedule.
Opened 125 stores in existing facilities; relocated 20 stores; built 10 stores from the ground up. Expanded, remodeled, and refreshed 100 stores.
Built and opened 50 stores in 2009; opened 15 fully-merchandised stores in 12 weeks in Spring 2010 – a first-time accomplishment – on-time and within budget.

Coordinated construction of 52 new stores ($4.2 to $15 million per store), as well as additions and remodels of 44 stores.
Developed standards for 55,000 sq. ft. prototype store, reducing costs and construction time to develop and complete construction of new stores.
