Executed Quality Control of a project in Nigeria (Lagos / Kano / Port Harcourt) for one month. This project was executed by one of the leading MR company in Nigeria
Deputy Field Controller
As Deputy Field Controller, I was controlling,
• This also involves responsibility of field co-ordination for the All India CAPI centres in IRS (Indian Readership Survey which is the worlds’ largest continuous study done in India) i.e. Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai. Sample size of 26000 interviews across the year.
• This also involves responsibility heading West Zone for IRS with the sample size of 66000 interviews across the year in West Zone of India.
• This also involves responsibility of field operations at National level for IOS (Indian Outdoor Survey). This is a study based on Out Door Media.
Assistant Field Controller
As Assistant Field Controller, I was controlling,
• Field department for Customised (Quantitative and Qualitative), CATI and CAPI
• This also involves responsibility heading West Zone for IRS (Indian Readership Survey which is the largest continuous study done in India) with the sample size of 66000 interviews across the year in West Zone of India.
• With a responsibility of field operations at National level I handle, IOS (Indian Outdoor Survey). This is a study based on Out Door Media.
• My job also involves project planning, training of the executives in terms of project specific requirements, make executive understand the research objective and methodology of the study, explain sampling involved, providing timely completion plan, project specific activity plans, anticipation of the problems and working on concrete solutions for the same, guidance in preparation of material, translations and project files, controlling of budgets, Quality control plans, monitoring the project delivery targets, monitoring the quality of data collected and project specific guidance for Quantitative, Qualitative, CAPI and CATI.

Senior Field Executive
As a Senior Field Executive, I was looking after field execution with the additional responsibility of heading the Mumbai field office. Actively involved in controlling the branch in terms of project and Non-project activities
Field Executive
As a Field Executive, I was executing various types of projects in Quantitative, Qualitative stream. Controlling 3 – 5 teams of supervisors as per the requirement of man power on various projects. Activities involved during field execution are broadly as follows
• PROJECT - PRE LAUNCH
This can be primarily described as Project planning. As the involvement is in type of interviewer required, No. of interviewers / team required, planning Briefing schedule, Quality check plan, Material preparation plan, Despatch plan, Budget plan Productivity plan, Status report – if any special format is required etc, Deadline. Complete the sampling before launch of study. Complete preparation of field material before the briefing as desired. Deploying right type of interviewers and supervisors on the projects, looking at the type of the project and duration of the job. Involving the team in through briefing on objective of the study, Selection of respondent, Cluster size, Contact pattern, time of the fieldwork, duration of the project, reporting time, expected productivity, payment terms etc. explaining any critical areas in the questionnaire. After briefing through mock calls with all the interviewers to know that the interviewers are through with the questionnaire.
• PROJECT – POST LAUNCH
This involves accompaniments of the interviewers on the regular basis to understand the way interviewer gives the introduction, the way of asking the questions, way of showing the show cards, the way of ascertaining the responses on the various scales, the way of using the techniques (as conjoint cards, photo sort, etc.). Scrutiny of the questionnaires, pointing out the mistakes in capturing the data, checking the logical checks, weather the openhanded is probed correctly. Back checking of the questionnaires to check the authenticity of the data that is been captured by the interviewer and to see supervisor involvement in the project.
After completion of project, timely dispatch and completing the post project activities as completing the project file preparing the payment sheets.

It involved controlling of quality by accompaniments, scrutiny and back checks, reporting status and progress of the project to my executive on daily / alternate day basis as per the requirement of executive.
