• Provide network and data security design and support for the University’s central business and finance functions (payroll, charitable gifts, student enrollment and class services, etc.).
• Responsible for maintaining network access with 99.999% availability to the data centers which host the University’s central business and finance systems.
• Design and support the OSPF routing instance between the datacenters and the campus backbone as well as the internal OSPF instances within the datacenters.
• Responsible for deployment and administration of access switches (Cisco 6509, 3750s) within the datacenter including 802.11 trunking and switch port VLAN assignments.
• In charge of troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity and throughput using packet capture and netflow data.
