SECURITY SPECIALIST- IRAQ

Primary duties are to include providing International security to Camp Taji Army Base located in Iraq. Providing direct supervision to over 100 Security Specialist’s in addition to the Ugandan guard force that are also, employed as a secondary guard force on Camp Taji Army Base. This is a demanding and critical position that provided base security for over 7000 Military and Civilian personnel. Conduct access control specified under Federal guidelines as well as International guidelines. Provide vehicle searches, along with personal searches for contraband control. B.A.T.S. (Biometrics Automated Toolset System) trained. I was appointed trainer for new Expats when ready for duty, on static posts and mobile patrols.

I work in conjunction with the ARMY and operating within the ARMY federal guidelines. Maintain visual observation within Camp Taji through the video surveillance system in the Command Post. Monitor movement concerning suspicious vehicles and / or persons. Maintain constant observations outside the perimeter as well as maintaining visual observations on the inside perimeter wall. Conduct report writing on a daily basis, contraband report, security inspections as well as security patrols. This position does require a firearm at all times of the weapon described is an M-4 and quarterly qualifications are required as well.

Primary duties are to include, instructing youth offenders in institution rules and regulations and enforces their application; Responding to emergency situations, observes, evaluates and records youth behavior and performance. KENNEL MANAGEMENT: Clean out kennels a minimum of 3 times per day. Water replaced daily.

FEEDING: Food prep daily to include mixture of raw meat/bones as indicated. Dogs for boarding will have instructions on care, which is to be noted and followed. Feed twice daily.

EXERCISE: KA to exercise dogs for boarding as instructed. Check intake card for numbers of times per day. Dogs for training will not be exercised to preserve energy.

TRAINING: Dogs for training will be worked 2-3 times a day in interval under 30 min. Will prep dogs for training with appropriate collar/equipment and deliver to training field on grounds. I will prepare dogs for training off site, 2 times a week. For travel, selected dogs are loaded into the dog trailer for transport. Rations and equipment checked per dog, prior to departure. Breaks are taken 3 times daily as indicted / directed by the Staff Superior. I will not assist in hygiene of dogs for training unless cleared by Staff Superior. I will not assist in care/maintenance of any Red Tag dog unless cleared by Staff Superior. Red Tag dogs will be clearly marked on the upper right kennel door.
