PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
T-Force 2009-Present
RF Engineer, Mclean, VA
Responsible for identifying and helping troubleshoot problem cell sites on the Sprint network. Create weekly reports for local market Engineers to identify sites with the most drops. Monitor statistics to ensure all Markets meet Service Level Agreements and identify those that do not. Responsible for the project management of the new National 900Mhz deployment project.
SPRINT/NEXTEL 1999 to 2009
Capacity/Spectrum Engineer, Nashville, TN, 2006 to 2009
Responsible for making sure all cell sites had adequate capacity to support customer needs; this included all special events such as the NASCAR races in Bristol, TN. Continuously monitored network statistics to ensure all sites were operating at or under national guidelines for blocking and dropping metrics. Worked very closely with the local market teams to minimize customer impact relating to these metrics. Created weekly and monthly reports used to review the health of the network and identify areas to improve. Frequency planned the TN and KY networks; this included optimizing the frequency plan to avoid possible interference and allocating spectrum resources to facilitate Public Safety rebanding. Retuned over 5,000 carriers with no impact on customer satisfaction. Removed all necessary channels related to Public Safety rebanding and kept the market level drop rates at or better than Best Ever levels.
RF Engineer, Louisville, KY, 2002 to 2006
Assisted in the design of new sites in the KY and IN markets. Identified sites and areas of concern to optimize and improve the customer experience. Set up bi-weekly statistics reviews to optimize the markets.
System Performance Engineer, Nashville, TN, 1999 to 2002
Collected and analyzed drive data to maintain and optimize markets. Monitored statistics to ensure the networks were efficient and made necessary system changes. Assisted with the implementation of new sites and reported their effectiveness.
Selected Achievements
Completed all rebanding requirements before FCC Deadlines.
Completed the design and capacity/spectrum responsibilities for five very successful NASCAR events.
Maintained all my markets at Best Ever performance according to National standards.
UNITED STATES ARMY 1993 to 1999
Tactical Satellite System Specialist, Fort Campbell, KY, 1995 to 1999
Maintained vital communications between several crucial elements within the network. Supervised several soldiers and various SATCOM equipment. Responsible for the testing of electronic devices, troubleshooting network issues and compiling maintenance records according to Army Communications Doctrine.
Satellite Systems Specialist, South Korea, 1994 to 1995
