Project Name : Remote Monitering and Agriclture control of motar using GSM

Script: programming using ‘c’

Project Description :

This project is developed to check the soil moisture and to control the water flow from the motors in agricultural fields. This information can be achieved through an SMS via GSM modem. Depending on this SMS information, a farmer can control the motor even from a remote place.

This project is Micro-controller based system. This micro-controller system is developed to avoid the accidents due to electrical shocks which occur frequently in agricultural fields. When ever farmer wants to switch on the motor, simply he sends an SMS to test the soil. if the soil is wet then he receives an acknowledgement message that soil is wet. If the soil is dry then send motor on command, he receives an acknowledgement message which contains flow status of water. Depending upon the status of water flow, the sms contains” flow present “or “flow absent”. If the flow present message is received, then the farmer can assure that the motor is working properly. When ever he wants to stop the motor simply sends a “motor off “message. When he receives an acknowledgement SMS ”flow absent”, then he come to know that there is a problem with the working of motor. Later our system monitors and power off the motor immediately.

Hardware used in our project is 89c61 micro-controller, GSM modem ,Max 232,

LCD, Uln 2003, Dc motor, Electrodes, power supply.
