Andriod Application Development:

Designed, developed and installed mobile applications on Android OS using Android SDK in Java.

• Developed a face recognition application which uses template matching to unlock the phone.

• Ported OpenCV library on Android middle ware using JNI and developed applications like face recognition, blink detection, eye detection using OpenCV libraries.

• AndStream-Audio/Video on Demand Streaming of Audio and Video data from a remote server to an android device with wireless (WIFI) connectivity implemented on the BeagleBoard.

• AndPlay-Integrating H.264 Video Codec into the android multimedia framework, developing a video player which runs on the integrated codec with all the media player functionalities.

Assistant System Engineer 08/2009 – 03/2010

Distributed embedded video chat system:

Designed, developed and implemented a distributed video chat application which could be installed into various embedded devices like security, GPS enabled systems. This application was designed to be reusable and platform independent.

• H.264 CODEC was utilized which enables the user to have a high definition video chat.

• Used UDP connection to transmit streaming data over network.

• Implemented on Linux OS and deployed the application on TI Omap 3530 platform

Assistant R&D Engineer 08/2008 – 08/2009

Remote Medical Diagnostic System:

Designed, developed and implemented a medical diagnostic tool to enable doctors avail advanced compression and connectivity techniques for their diagnosis using JPEG2000 CODEC for compression. This same project was granted U.S. Patent on Nov 09 2010.

• Designed and developed the encoder and decoder using C and MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class framework)

• Optimized the codec on CODE COMPOSER STUDIO and implemented the executable on Intel atom board.
