Senior Information Specialist

Flight Operation Information System

• The critical functions are crew training and availability, schedule planning of crew and aircraft, actual operations of the flights, flight watch during operation. IT provides operational crew information for safe operation such as dispatch release, real time weather and flight plans.

FUEL (PAS)

• The system deals with the registration/recording of fuel contracts/prices for each fuel vendor that Saudi Arabian Airlines deals with.

ACARS Message Management

• AMMS handles real time distribution of downlink and uplink messages between Aircraft systems, Business applications and Business areas.

Crew Management

• This system is responsible of planning, operation of crew movements, as well maintaining the history information of the movements.

FOIS- Support

• System support maintains static data required for validation purpose, it also provide the facility to update HELP database, Security subsystem and communication parameters.

Flight Operations Performance Engineering

• On-line system to generate Take-off/Landing charts for better and safer

weight calculation.

Interactive Voice Response

• The IVR application is a developed computer based system that has some

interactive feature that allows the system to response vocally to certain

request which comes through regular telephone lines that are connected to the computer through a computer board.

Aircraft Routing Module

• This is a small single subsystem phase for installation in February 1983. It provides the graphics for scheduling and routing.

Dispatch Report Generator

• It can be used to generate daily and periodic reports and provides for the maintenance of support databases such as Dispatch Standards.

Flight Watch

• This module is responsible of monitoring and recording of actual flight times and activity and as well producing over due messages.

Operations Control

• This was a Manchester site development of that part of the system that handles operations, flight watch and report generation. Implementation was scheduled for September 1982

Selective Bidding

• Bid award is done off-line and entered through CAP. While processing this line award input, checks are made for legality, qualification and availability

Scheduling Operation Planning & Evaluation (SCOPE)

• SCOPE is a COBOL DB2 system used by Scheduling Department to create and evaluate Saudia schedule demand utilizing the available fleet.

Yield Management – YMS

• Forecast probe seat utilization on future flights by fare class suggest manipulation of fare class booking authorization levels to simulate demand.

 Worked on a large project to develop fuel system for Saudia as a Project leader.

Successfully implemented Saudia Flight Information System and Saudia Flight Schedule System from CICS COBOL TOTAL to CICS COBOL DB2.

 Designed and implemented a successful ticket database (DB2) for revenue system.

 Designed and implemented a Batch Audit System and a UTR Verification System.
