Simulation Tools : SONNET, ANSOFT HFSS, NEC-WIN ++, WIPL-D

JOURNALS

Title: “Design and Analysis of Parabolic Electromagnetic Multi-layered Absorber for Low Power Applications”, Taylor and Francis Electromagnetic journal, vol. 31, issue 6, 2011

Description:

This multi-layered electromagnetic absorber is designed using commercially available lossy dielectric materials for microwave frequencies. The absorber’s performance has been analyzed for both normal and oblique incidence. This acts as a good replacement for a pyramid or wedge shaped absorbers which cannot be used in compact devices.

MASTER’S THESIS

Title: Realization of Electrically short capacitively loaded multiband wire antenna with beam scanning by positional variation of capacitance.

Description:

The antenna has been designed for 300 MHz with a ka value < 0.5. The antenna pattern is bi-directional in both Φ and Ѳ planes. The structure was simulated using NEC-WIN++. The antenna pattern can be rotated by varying the position of the capacitors used in the design.

CONFERENCES

• Presented a paper titled “Analysis and Performance of Planar Multi Layered Dielectric Structures for Electronic Instrument Shielding”, in the National Conference on Instrumentation, Vishakapatinam, on December 8, 2008 conducted by Instrumentation Society of India and Indian Institute of Science.

• Presented a paper titled “Design of Dielectric structures using Binomial matching technique” in the national conference held at Amrita University on April 7, 2009.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Teaching assistant for ELE-370 Engineering Electromagnetics and ELE-210 Engineering Circuits (August 2009-Present).

PROJECTS

1. Title: Modeling of Snake and Ladder game using PIC16F877A.

2. Title: Control of Magnetic suspended ball using various linearization techniques.

3. Title: Analysis on GSM using TDMA.

EXPERTISE

1. Design of Microwave filters, couplers, transformers and power dividers.

2. Concepts and design of Electrically Small Antennas, Dielectric Resonator Antennas and Antenna arrays.

3. Basics of mobile communications and optical fiber communications.

4. Multiple Access and RF communication techniques.

5. Hands on experience in using network analyzers and milling machines.
