INDEPENDENT RESEARCH EXPERIENCE:

● Used IR, NMR, UV and Fractional distillation techniques to identify components of an unknown organic compound or mixture in organic spectroscopy

● Used IR spectroscopy to investigate the effect of deuterium isotope substitution on the rotation-vibration spectra of HCl and DCl in quantum mechanic for physical chemistry

● Used capillary electrophoresis (CE) to determine the concentration of synthesized ASA product, along with unreacted SA as well as the product yield and its purity in instrumental method of analysis

● Used various varieties of breathalyzers to prove that one can actually fool a breathalyzer based on the understanding of oxidation reaction of ethanol and the effect of the biological enzyme NADH in the human body in forensic science

● Performed the Friedel-Crafts reaction of anthraquione and anthracene to obtain fluorescence in advance organic chemistry

● Used various instruments and techniques in physical chemistry to validate Boyle’s law and Charles’s law; to measure temperature using calorimetric techniques; to measure the molar constant pressure of a liquid; to determine the linear coefficient of thermal expansion of a hollow metal cylinder; to determine the heat of combustion of a solid combusted in a bomb calorimeter

● In Quantitative analysis, I used Gravimetric methods of analysis to determine an element content in soluble samples; also used titration techniques to neutralize, standardize solution or to determine an element in impure sample; used Kjeldahl method to determine proteins in materials

• Performed chemical analysis on inorganic and organic battery materials thru sample preparation and wet chemistry techniques to determine apparent density of material and lead percentage in final material.

• Provided and maintained documentation testing and laboratory activity as required by the Laboratory Supervisor (complete, accurate, submitted on time, daily update information when needed, test files maintained in orderly systematic manner)

• Monitor and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

• Developed, modified, and maintained chemical test procedures for battery materials by documenting all procedures in a standardized format; modifying, creating, and submitting procedures for review to lab management.

• Aided in development of new methods for chemical analysis of battery materials thru VAVE project in Salina, KS for a week
