Responsibilities

Work as Mechanical Inspector client representative responsible for all quality concern to mechanical activities in my package jurisdictions such as welding, piping, storage tank construction comply with the standard. Review and approved quality document such Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Procedures, and Method Statement Conduct contractor QC interviews. Initiate weekly quality meeting with the contractor to discuss quality highlight such as Log Book Entry, Proactive Notifications, General Comment, Standard Violation, NCR to ensure that such problems does not repeat. Liaise with the PMT regarding corrective actions against NCR. For welding make sure that all employed welding procedure and welder are qualified. Conduct site surveillance of welding activities before, during and after welding basis to ensure that they followed the WPS and related standard. For tank inspection cylindrical cone, floating roof, spheroid, spherical, check the foundation level, tank bottom plates laying inspection, material traceability. Shell plates erection, fit up of vertical & horizontal joint, nozzles orientation, stair & structural related to tank, Bottom test(vacuum box test), oil penetrate test(OPT) Pneumatic test of nozzles pad, Plumbness( verticality), peaking, banding, roundness. Verification of NDT requirement according to code API 650, API 620 ASME VIII div.2

Piping:

Preparation & Review of Test Packs for hydro testing, Line checking as per the requirement.

To conduct in-process shop/field production inspection including verification and acceptance of all quality control hold point indicated to travelers against approved drawing and specification.

Review and checked the flow and orientation of piping on AFC drawing base on actual field installation at site.

Checked dimension and location of on plot piping as per required on the AFC Isometric & P&ID drawings.

To check specified materials given on the AFC drawing including classification of bolts and gaskets.

Materials checked by color coding, wall thickness and stamping of pipes.

Perform line check and issue internal punch list to construction section.

To fill date of line check and date of internal punch completion in control sheet.

Checked and monitor the welding percentage repair rates of individual welder.

To conduct in-process shop production inspection including verification and acceptance of all quality control hold point indicated to travelers against approved drawing and specification.
