TITLE: FUZZY LOGIC SOLUTION TO ECONOMIC LOAD DISPATCH SCHEDULING

This work presents fuzzy logic solution to unit commitment and economic dispatch. Unit commitment is aimed to devising a proper generator commitment schedule for a power system over a period of one day to one week. The main objective of unit commitment is to minimize the total production cost over the study period and to satisfy the constraints imposed on the power system. Several conventional methods are available but they need exact mathematical model of the system but in this method mathematical model is not required. This method can be applied to any number of units, each with different operating costs.
