Jul 2009 Civil Superintendent Trimble County Power plant ($1.5 Billion)
Bechtel - Kentucky USA
Managed a targeted budget of $300M, for a 760 MW supercritical coal fire Power plant in Kentucky. Successful in digging OSHA approved trenches as deep as 20’ next to the Ohio river for 1.7 miles of underground water/sewer, HDPE pipe and electrical duct banks. Installed 454,300 cubic yards of concrete for footing, slab on grade and upper level desk pours. 35,036 ton of rebar installed for concrete pours with a very tight schedule, it was all possible because of the strategic planning that was implemented.

Headed up and worked closely with all ES&H issues (environmental, safety, health) Managed all indirect cost and was able to reduce cost well under projected forecast of 19% of project cost down to 12% by initiating new project techniques. Placements of 36 office trailers and maintain all areas and prepared and developed 4 large parking lots for construction employees. Maintained all adverse weather conditions to keep the jobsite safe and workable. Prepared and developed 28 lay down areas along with maintaining the grass for each area. Maintained all garbage removal from jobsite and generated daily work progress reports, in charge of the sub - contractors for the onsite trucking and all aggregate utilized on the project.

Supervise the direct hire craft responsible for demolition/rebuild and concrete necessary to tie in the new hospital addition. Prepared and poured the concrete for the new addition of the St Lukes Hospital and 2 parking structure project. Procured the material list necessary to complete the hospital addition/renovation project. Proficiently read / interpreted blueprints and collaborated with engineering teams to ensure critical compliance with contractual specifications where meet.

Proficiently read a great deal of architectural and engineer prints while monitored and supervised all the flat work. Interfaced with sub - contractors to make sure the scope of work was completed on time and according to the contract
Other previous job experiences
For the last 5 years most efforts have been focused on industrial projects, working with mass concrete placements, major dirt work, formwork, rebar and all environmental issues at (2 power plants projects). The remaining 23 years working experience was working on hospital/healthcare facilities, large-scale condominium projects, hotels/resort complexes, institutional and school facilities, high-rise and retail sites, residential remodel, Commercial mix, office, Seismic retrofitting/Historical Renovation, Sports arenas, demolition and environmental clean up (please see Appendix A for more information about environmental work), Major Hwy road work and Multi-family. During the 25+ years working with union commercial projects, also had my own construction firm with a full time crew which concentrated on residential remodels. Would also buy housing units and remodel to either rent the units or sell the entire building, did for a total of 54 units (8 years) before stopping to concentrate on my construction career as a Supervisor for a large Construction firm.
