CAREER HISTORY
Technology Manager, Tallahassee Democrat,
1998-Present. Manage creative artists,
technology, digital prepress and
packaging/distribution functions. Manage
staff to 40. Led installation of new high-
end graphics editorial system, converting
the paper from galley layout to full
pagination. Completing upgrade of aging
editorial system on time and under budget,
ensuring zero Prepress and Postpress
downtime. Responsible for company safety
program in addition to commercial printing
sales and support.
Earlier: Traditional writing, photography, sports
reporting and editorial positions,
including:
Editor, Statesboro Herald, 1997-1998.
Assigned and edited stories, mentored
writers, wrote editorials, conducted
outreach programs to community leaders.
Sports Editor, Gwinnett Daily Post, 1992-
1997. Created first sports section in 25-
year history of weekly newspaper. Oversaw
expansion of sports coverage as paper grew
from weekly to daily publication.
