Sr. Programmer Analyst

• Designed, implemented and promoted the Y2K conversion project for the KBM system. During, which time I was the lead programmer implementing the KBM AS400 upgrade.

• Member of a team to migrate custom legacy programs and files on to the KBM Sales Order Management system on the AS400. Responsibilities included migrating the application areas of Order entry, Shipping, Sales and Financial (Accounts Receivable). Some examples - 1) Enhanced Order Entry Program with legacy pricing and user controls, 2 ) Invoicing process to calculate cost of goods sold, write to EDI outbound invoice files, write to legacy sales files, revamped printer layouts for invoice, credit and debit memos with additional new data from the Credit and Debit memo systems and shipping process.

3) Re-designed accounts receivable ageing reports.

• Automated the Sales Order Management (OMAT) process to the KBM Sales Order Management system to update orders into the system from the EDI, WEB and Manual order entry systems to reduce manual labor hours to key in orders, capture errors for data integrity and to efficiently ship items on orders.

• Designed new Order Entry Booking system for the KBM system to capture sales orders entered into the KBM Sales Order Management system

• Automated the credit release of repair parts orders on the KBM system to reduce the manual labor hours.

• Worked as a head liaison for Business Analysts when they cannot resolve an issue.

Turnover Administrator - Promoted project/task to production libraries to both development and production boxes and trained new administrators, internal and external programmers to use the TURNOVER software. Applied programming updates to KBM system. Maintained three AS400 systems as well as processing backups for the systems, tape rotations for Secure Sync and On Call for AS400 error messages.

• Implemented and designed Bills of Material System for legacy system. Enables users to view product demand for components and parents with costs using either forecasted orders or customer demand and is also integrated with the legacy Sales system for reporting costs...

• Implemented, Merged and automated the legacy custom accounts receivable system for commissions to the Lawson Accounts Payable system.

• Assisted as a lead programmer to convert a FIFO costing system to weighted average costing system for the distribution system. Conversion will use weighted average cost at time of shipment to reduce cost of goods on Sales as well as to reduce the cost of Inventory.

• Converted and added sub-categories to the General Ledger system to enable greater detail definition for posting and reporting of General ledger accounts.

• Redesigned a new Cycle Count Process and Physical Inventory system. Both systems were revamped to generate a second count sheet if first count discrepancies were over a percentage of actual inventories for the location. The Cycle Count process was updated to accurately count

inventory during adjustments for other processes.
