I have worked as a Network Engineer in Reliance Infocomm Engineering Ltd., Rajasthan for 2 years and 9 months. Reliance Communications is a basic service provider along with IN, Broadband & Internet services in India.

Job Profile

My work has mainly been on the Lucent 5ESS-2000 CDMA Wireless Switch at Jaipur.

Planning Responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling via progress monitoring for the project. Identifying and closing gaps between project requirement and implementation.

• Assisting the Project Manager by managing planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and reporting.

• Assisting the Project Manager in analyzing and forecasting project performance and identification of critical activities.

• Monitoring of actual progress relative to baseline and reporting progress against schedule.

Lucent 5ESS-2000 Wireless Switch

• Operations and maintenance on the switch and its components.

• Integration of cell sites with the MSC.

• Performing system load balancing by studying system occupancy and system engineering details.

• Daily health check of Lucent MSC.

• Testing and on-time execution of work orders and other planned events.

• Creating and maintaining record of service orders for BTS.

• Analyzing and resolving system problems.

• Carrying out preventive maintenance for effective performance of the switch.

• Alarm management for different types of alarm extensions, separation of Critical / Major Switch alarms.

• Backing-up various elements (DCS, OMP, PSAX and ECP) of the network so as to ensure speedy recovery with minimum damage in case of an emergency.

• Taking the dump of forms and running the script.

• Troubleshooting customer complaints, carrying out root call analyses and implementing corrective actions.

• Testing of CDMA SIM cards.

• Maintaining database and records.
