PROFESSIONAL OBJECTIVE:

Continuing to advance my career in the telecommunications industry.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:

I have 25 years of experience in the communications industry, my current job title is ITT’s Site Manager at Forward Operating Base Pasab in southern Afghanistan. I am directly responsible for 37 employees and their well being in a hostile environment. The team under my charge provides O&M services for the US army’s TCF facility which furnishes Strategic NIPR, SIPR and CX-I both data and voice networks supporting the FOB operations. I have extensive expertise on the cabling side including, but not limited to, fiber optic placement, termination and splicing. The last 15 years have taken me into the network side of the industry with the advent of VOIP. I carry a manufacture certification for switch maintenance on Avaya G3r TDM switches and have worked extensively with Nortel 1000e VOIP switches using the meridian platform. I also administer both voice mail systems (Audix for Avaya & Call Pilot Nortel). My experience also takes me into the data side with experience programming Nortel 5520, 460 POE switches also racking and cabling gear. I am well versed in project development and management including analyzing blue prints, coordinating teams of technicians, supervision of outside vendors and contractors, managing project timelines and working within budgetary guidelines.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:

Site Manager FOB (Forward Operating Base) Pasab Afghanistan (10/29/10 - Present) ITT Systems Division, Responsibilities include managing a growing staff at the present of 37 employees, their specialties ranging from NA, SA, ADPE, OSP, IA and TCF duties. I am directly responsible for the day to day coordination with the U.S. Army DSST involving the network infrastructure and TCF operations to include all VOIP telecommunications, IGX back up telecommunications also the strategic NIPR, SIPR and

CX-I data networks. My job scope entails the weekly and monthly reports to the ITT southern region manager of Afghanistan on the status of the FOB’s data network’s health and operational readiness which in turn reports upward to the 160th Signal Brigade. I am responsible for all of ITT interests ensuring that all operations are within the guidelines of the TAC-SWACAA contract. I am honored to add, the ITT team at FOB Pasab was nominated for the Ring of Quality Award for 2011.

Systems Analyst, (7/1/08 – 10/26/10) PHNS: Location Erlanger Health System. Job responsibilities are as below. Erlanger outsourced the Technology Management Division which was acquired by PHNS.

Senior Technician, Technology Management Division, Erlanger Health System

Job duties included managing a team of 7 employed technicians, in house cable plant including fiber and copper. I was responsible for managing cabling contractors on all 7 of Erlanger’s campuses insuring that they follow all contractual elements on a timely manner and within EIA-TIA standards. I was the First line of contact for EPB Communications & BellSouth technicians working within all campuses.

Develop, manage and advise for future expansion of Erlanger’s communications needs. Install communication switching gear to include trouble shooting of existing hardware/software of both Nortel voice-VOIP working through Erlanger’s computer network and traditional Avaya/AT&T Definity product line. I carry a manufactures certification for switch maintenance on the Avaya g3r, Si & Vs systems. I was responsible for software translations on both systems this includes Audix voice mail, Call Pilot voice mail & application builder for auto attendants.

I was also responsible for coordinating add’s, moves and changes within the Erlanger System for remodels and new building construction which is a constant within any large organization.
