•Posting : Electrical Integration Division, ISAC, Bangalore

Was a member of Electrical Integration team (four Scientists) of an IRS Satellite. It was a clean room job. Till the date of release; was responsible for Harness Designing.

•Training Project : Inductive Coupling- theory, simulation & experimentation (One month, Team of two)

?Simulated the possibility of the same in a satellite using a boost regulator current source design.

?Circuit simulation for the boost regulator design and coupling was done on OrCAD and then the design and wiring loops were implemented.

Professional Experience: “Knowledge Scientist”, Dolcera Hyderabad (Five Months)

-from 13th July 2009 to till date

•Patents analysis, State of art studies on emerging fields.

Teaching Assistantship: DAQ Lab, IIT Bombay (July - December 2008)

Under Prof. Soumyo Mukherjee, School of Biosciences & Bioengineering for the course Virtual Instrumentation in Biomedical Engineering.

Industrial Training: Nivo Controls Pvt. Ltd. Indore (June 2004, 35 days)

Learned PCB designing, testing and debugging of circuits, assembly and calibration of flow meters.

M.Tech. Project: Human Motion Analysis by Inertial & Magnetic Sensors (2008-2009)

Under the guidance of Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri, Electrical Engineering, Dean I.R., IIT Bombay.

•A Motion Tracker kit has been used which has five Trackers. Each Tracker can measure 3D acceleration, 3D angular velocity and 3D magnetic field vector.

•Real time motion data from these sensors is used to animate a 3D avatar on a computer using a python based Vizard 3D software.

•Project aimed at the motion analysis of the upper extremities with variation in: weights during different exercises.

B.E. Projects

•Major Project: Time activated switches by VHDL (2006, Team of six)

Logic designed on Xilinx ISE webPACK, Simulated on ModelSim and synthesized for Xilinx Cool runner complex programmable logic device.

•Minor Projects

?8085 Microprocessor based Time Activated Switch (2005, Team of five)

PTH PCB was designed on PCB123 and implemented; code was first simulated on 8085 Simulator.

?Digital Clock (2004, Team of three)

Circuit Schematic and simulation on Electronics Work Bench, basic level PCB was designed.

Other Projects

Hardware Description Languages: Microprocessor Instruction Decoder (Team of three)

•Developed a synthesizable VHDL code for 8085 Microprocessor instruction decoder. Instructions with the code “00XXX010” namely LDAX, LDA, LHLD, STAX, STA, SHLD were decoded.

Embedded System Design (Software): Pothole Detection & Avoidance (Team of three)

•Front vehicle (Master) detects potholes on its path with the help of an accelerometer module.

•Master communicates wirelessly about the same to the slave vehicle.

•The slave will then takes the necessary actions, avoid the pothole and retrace the master.

•Code Design – using C on µC/OS-II

Embedded System Design (Hardware): Rechargeable Battery Condition Monitoring System (Team of three)

•Battery was repeatedly charged and discharged to remove the Memory Effect if any.

•After predetermined no. of cycles; battery’s condition was accessed as live or dead.

•The hardware was interfaced with a computer, which was used for analysis purpose.

•Hardware design included a 40 pin DIP AT89C52 microcontroller, RC circuits, voltage controllable current source/sink, ADC0809 ADC, RS232 serial interface.

•Software was designed using LabWindows.

Virtual Instrumentation in Biomedical Engineering: A Real Time ECG Analyzer

•Acquired Real time ECG data with the aid of a data acquisition card and processed on a computer.

•Processing algorithm developed on LabWindows; included filtering of acquired data, Peaks detection (P, R, T) and determination of different ECG parameters like heart rate, QRS interval, ST segment interval.

Biostatistics: Two-Way ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) of a dataset (Team of three)

•Determined the effect of 3 different diets on serum cholesterol levels in a dataset of patients. SAS software was used to find random samples, P-Value and F Statistics to check if hypothesis holds.

Extra Curricular Activities

•Represented the Department at Post Graduation level in Inter Department Chess Tournaments (2008, 2007), Inter Department Table Tennis Tournament (2007) and at Under Graduation level in Inter Department Chess Tournaments (2006, 2005), Inter Department Badminton Tournament (2006).

•Was an active member of web development and poster designing committee of “Sanghosh-05”, a national level technical festival organized by the Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, S.G.S.I.T.S. Indore in collaboration with I.E.E.E.
